Terms of Service
BizApp Tappers
Last updated: 5 November 2026
1. These terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Chapman IT LTD ("Chapman IT", "we", "us", or "our") for your use of the Android application BizApp Tappers.
BizApp Tappers is the mobile app we publish with the application identifier bizapp_mobile_tappers. In our other materials this app is also called BizApp TFS. These Terms apply only to that app. They do not apply to 1BizApp, 1BizApp Funerals, our website, or any other Chapman IT product, except where you reach those services through BizApp Tappers.
By downloading, installing, or using BizApp Tappers, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.
2. The app
BizApp Tappers is a business application for authorised staff of the organisation that licenses it, Tapper Funeral Service. It is used for that organisation's operational work, including funeral arrangements, scheduling, and related records. It is not a service offered to the general public, and it is not directed at children.
Your organisation's use of the software is also covered by its agreement with us. If that agreement conflicts with these Terms on a matter between us and the organisation, the organisation's agreement prevails between those parties. These Terms still govern your own use of the app.
3. Who may use the app
You may use BizApp Tappers only if:
- the licensed organisation has authorised you to use it
- you have been given your own user account
- you use it for that organisation's legitimate business purposes
You must stop using the app when your employment or other authorisation ends, or when we or the organisation withdraw access.
4. Accounts
User accounts are created and controlled by the licensed organisation. Chapman IT does not offer public sign-up. You must keep your login confidential, must not share your account, and must tell your employer promptly if you think someone else has used it.
Removing the app from your device does not delete your account or the records associated with it. How to request deletion is explained on our delete your account page. Your employer's HR or IT department must request removal of a company-managed account.
5. Licence
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use BizApp Tappers on a device you are allowed to use, solely for the licensed organisation's business, for as long as that organisation's licence remains in force and your account remains active.
You must not:
- copy, sell, rent, sublicense, or distribute the app
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, except where the law expressly allows it
- bypass security, access controls, or usage limits
- use another person's account, or let another person use yours
- access records you are not authorised to see
- use the app for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose
- interfere with the app, its hosting, or other users
- introduce malware or misuse the app to collect data
6. Information in the app
Records held in BizApp Tappers belong to the licensed organisation. They may include confidential business information and personal data about staff, families, and people who have died. You must access only what your role requires, keep that information confidential, and follow your employer's policies and UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR.
You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter. How Chapman IT handles personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Your device and connectivity
You are responsible for the device you use, including keeping it secure and up to date. The app may use device features such as the camera, notifications, or location where a task needs them, and it needs a network connection to sync. Those features are provided by your device maker, Google, and your network operator under their own terms. We are not responsible for charges from your network operator.
8. Availability and changes
We provide BizApp Tappers as part of the service agreed with the licensed organisation. We may update, change, or suspend the app for maintenance, security, or improvement, and we may withdraw features. We do not guarantee that the app will be available without interruption or that it will be error-free.
9. Intellectual property
Chapman IT LTD and its licensors own the app, including its software, design, and documentation. These Terms do not transfer any intellectual property to you. Information your organisation stores in the app remains that organisation's, subject to the rights needed to host and operate the service.
10. Ending access
We or the licensed organisation may suspend or end your access if these Terms are breached, if your authorisation ends, if the organisation's licence ends, or if we need to do so for security or to comply with the law. Sections that should continue after access ends, including confidentiality, intellectual property, and liability, continue to apply.
11. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under the laws of England and Wales. Statutory rights that cannot be waived are unaffected.
The app is a work tool supplied for the licensed organisation. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable to you for loss of profit, business, data, or goodwill, or for any indirect or consequential loss, arising from your use of the app. Subject to the first paragraph of this section, our total liability to you personally in connection with BizApp Tappers is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim. If you paid nothing, that limit is zero.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. The current version will always be published on this page with a new "Last updated" date. If you continue to use BizApp Tappers after the updated Terms are published, you accept them. Where a change is material, we will also tell the licensed organisation where it is practical to do so.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from them, except where the law requires otherwise.
